Reimagining
Exhibition of gelatin prints and collages by Linda MacAulay -2019
Years ago I began printing off all my leftover paint palettes. These haphazard splotches of paint often created beautiful abstract patterns that are impossible to replicate.
In 2017 I discovered Gelli Printing and then was able to add a whole new dimension to these paint splotches by layering stencils, textures and patterns to produce unique one off papers or prints. The stencils are made from my own photographs of plants and animals.
In keeping with the theme of reusing or upcycling, the prints themselves are printed on paper that has already been used for another purpose and is ready for the bin…. junk mail, bills, flyers, old books, envelopes etc.
Sometimes a print is simple and can stand alone…other times multiple prints are torn up and reimagined as collages.
Paintings are available for immediate purchase though contacting Linda on 0407 539 800.
